People wear traditional Mexican clothing on this day. Women wear long, flowing dresses or skirts with colorful stripes. Red, green and white colors are a must.

Most men wear a sombrero (hat), a jacket, black pants, a white shirt, and boots.

dresses: plural form of dress. For the plural form of most nouns, add s. e.g. shirt-shirts, color-colors, parade-parades. For nouns that end in ch, x, s, or s sounds, add es. e.g. dress-dresses, box-boxes, watch-watches.
