I presented this at CCCC, an English Composition conference, and my theme was envisioning teaching portfolios in diverse and unique ways. One possibility I suggested was that teaching portfolios be used as a means of judgement for tenure rather than just publication and student evaluations. I used David Foster Wallace, Albert Einstein, and quantum physics as metaphors for the way teaching portfolios can be many things at the same time.

portfolio has to be, I am limiting possibilities.
