WatchKit having just been released, this will be a lot of fun. We'll come together to learn what's possible on the Watch for some hands-on coding and design. We'll have some respected speakers from the Swift community. Doors open at 3:30pm and we’ll get started talking at 4pm sharp. Don’t be late :) We have a lot to teach! WatchKit Overview Session 40 mins Learn the things you can do with the WatchKit SDK and see the code that makes it possible. Glances and Notifications Session 40 mins Glances are page-based widgets that you can get to by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Actionable Notifications provide push-based interaction. Design and layout for Apple Watch Session 40 mins Learn how design for the watch is different than the phone and get hands on practice using the new groups paradigm. Quick Start: Your First Apple Watch App 40 mins Build a WatchKit app with user interaction. Logic runs on the user's iPhone with the UI displayed on the Watch. That's a wrap! At the beginning and at the end we'll quickly have idea pitches for the hackathon. This will be a great chance to meet potential teammates and get thinking about what you'll build the next day. We'll have great food and drinks throughout the afternoon. Afterwards feel free to mingle. See you tomorrow at the Hackathon → What if I can't attend in person? No worries. Snag a Remote, Google Hangout ticket to the Hackathon and we'll send you the link to stream the sessions online.
