Walworth County CrossRoads Teams
• Walworth County Traffic Safety Commission – Made up of citizens, public officials, and Law Enforcement. Meet
quarterly to discuss traffic crashes and traffic safety issues on the county roadways
• Walworth County Health and Human Services– Specifically with the CPS unit and Child Safety Seat Technicians.
• Walworth County Alliance for Children (WCAC)– Made up of citizens and professionals that specialize in the handling
of abused and neglected kids. Education and prevention a major concern of this organization. Lead agency for the Walworth County Cross Roads grant.
• Walworth County Sheriff’s Office– Works through the Crime Prevention Unit. Major Supporter of a
county wide teen safe driving program that is in all Walworth County High Schools, Operation Click.

• Meets with the four partners quarterly• Talk about issues and concerns pertaining to
teen safe driving• Update them on what is being done pertaining
to teen safe driving• Welcome their feedback and ideas• Work directly with all the high schools in
Walworth County through an established teen safe driving program called Operation Click

Operation Click• Statistic based program with its main focus on
distracted driving and seatbelt compliance• In all Walworth County High Schools (7 total plus 1)• Measure seatbelt compliance rate of teen drivers.• Rewards good driving and good driving habits• Uses Peer-To-Peer approach for sending the message of
being a safe driver and developing safe driving habits• With the help of community sponsors, students are
reward for being safe drivers…

Operation Click Results• Before Operation Click started for the 2011-
2012 school year, high school driving teens seatbelt usage was 72%
• After one year of Operation Click that percentage raised to 92%
• Last year’s seatbelt compliance rate was 97% for Walworth County High School age drivers.

Operation Click and CrossRoads Partnership• CrossRoads helps in spreading the success of
Operation Click• Provide connections for expansion• CrossRoads supplies funding to assist with
expenses– Advertising– Hand out for schools and promotional items– Equipment
