From The President’s DeskDear Members,
Greetings to you all !
The Club is gearing up for conducting the biggest ever Diwali Grand MegaTambola slated for 14th October, 2017. The entire club is gripped with 'TambolaFever' and members are looking forward eagerly for this mega event. We thanksponsorers for coming forward with best possible deals and the members formaking us achieve breakeven. We are making best possible arrangements forconducting the event in a smooth manner. We request the members to understandand follow the rules strictly and cooperate with the management.
We purchased Chairs, Teapoys and Cutlery for the movie day and for the eventsorganized in the Jubilee Grounds. We are planning to give a makeover look to the club by laying roads which willcommence shortly. We are also happy to announce that plans are being made to build a baby swimming pool for the sakeof young children equipped with state-of-the-art features. These two initiatives are taken up from the funds raised from fewsponsorers who will be recognized at the time of inauguration.
I would like to bring it to the notice of members that discussing any matter pertaining to Waltair Club, using Waltair ClubLogo or photos and making comments or criticizing the Managing Committee or members in any social media is notacceptable. Another important issue is that the members who book banquet halls for their parties are asked to maintaindecorum and not to resort to any kind of unacceptable behavior.
We are very happy to inform the members that a petrol pump and a departmental store are coming up shortly in the clubpremises. We are sincerely trying to obtain permission from the concerned authorities to display fire crackers on 18thNovember. On this note, I wish you all a joyful and safe Diwali.
With regards,
P.Phaneendra Babu

SUNDAY BAZAAR10th September, 95 Stalls , 3000+ Foot fall
With immense amount of happiness satisfaction and contentment
I wish to report about the unprecedented success of the Sunday Bazar.
Highlights:
* 95 well lit, wellspaced, reasonably priced stalls
* Well organised corridors for movement
* Use variety on offer: products ranging from clothes, bags, jewellery,
wellness products, devotional decor , social service organisations, festival
and gifting related products and scrumptious home-based food stalls
* Faultless support staff from the club itself without whom this mega
event isn't remotely possible
“When 3000+ people visit an event in a span of 10 hours it is a
grand success. When all 95+ stall owners are happy with their sales,
it is satisfaction. When all 3000 visitors and 95 stall owners have no
major complaints , it is unprecedented”
As Mrs Mamata Jain put it "sooppper se uppaar management".
The ladies committee has put in a tireless effort in piecing all of this
together. As one stall owner Saroj Rati rightly said and I quote "Exhibition
was very well organised and I think everyone was happy with the sales,
no confusion and I think everyone enjoyed no entry ticket. Thanks a lot
to you and your committee.”
The ladies committee takes this opportunity to thank the Managing
Committee for all the support, encouragement and confidence without which
this event wouldn't have been possible. We are greatful to all the stall
owners for hiring the stalls and reposing the confidence in us and all the
members, who visited this Sunday Bazar and made this a grand success.

Dasara Utsav on 29.09.2017
The Waltair Club, Ladies Sub Committee presented a gala festive occasion
on 29th September, 2017 celebrating the extravaga of the Dasara mood.
The celebrations took place at the Centenary Auouorium. The evening
witnessed incredible moments of performances that displayed unparalleled
ability and skills of both professional and in-house talent. The team of
enthusiasts danced to the joy of music and Dandiya beats bringing in a
fusion of old traditional values and the modern spirit. The evening was
befitting of fun and exclusive events. Beverages, mouth-watering starters
and the exceptional, seasonal cuisine was a delight for all .The initiative of
the crowds highlighted the fervor of the major hindu festival, Durga Puja
which is celebrated at the end of navaratri. Shanmukha Priya, the Sa Re
Ga Ma Pa Little Champ Fame stole the show and was the star performer
of the evening. The Garbha and music celebrated the traditional drama of
dasara also marking the start of the diwali celebrations.
It was a delightful evening at the Centenary Hall and we look ahead to a
bright and significant Diwali Celebration.
