Welcome to Waikumete Cemetery and Crematorium

Cemetery Business: • An appointment is required for all plot purchases.

Please contact the Cemetery Office.

• A memorial permit must be obtained and approved prior to the installation of any headstones and plot decorations. All memorials or decorations must comply with the current Cemetery By-Law.

• Non-complying memorials and decorations may be removed.

• All contractors/trade persons must sign in at the Cemetery Office and undertake a Health & Safety induction before work begins.

• If a genealogy search is required please visit the Cemetery Office or apply at the web site stated below. A fee may apply.

Vehicular Access: • Vehicles may only drive and park

on a constructed roadway.

• Please adhere to the speed limit.

• do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Thieves may be operating in this area.

• For any vehicle locked in after hours please contact the Cemetery Office.

dogs: • Visitors to the Cemetery are required to keep dogs

on a leash at all times and to keep dogs off gravesites.

• Please clean up after your dog.

Litter: • Please place litter in bins provided.
