Directions: From KahekiliHighway (340), turn up MaluhiaRoad and go 0.9 miles. A sign ona fence marks the trail head.Follow right-of-way markersthrough pasture before enteringforest.

Route: Beginning at 1,000` elevation, trail climbs thewindward slope of west Mauithrough a brushy guava thicket, ayoung stand of planted trees, andwet native scrub forest. Views ofWaihee Gorge and MakamakaoleGulch can be seen along the way.On the peak, at 2,563` arepanoramic views of Wailuku andcentral Maui, the Kahakuloaslopes, and Mount Eke. Weatherat the summit varies from clear toovercast with showers. Nodrinking water is available alongthe trail. Camping is not permitted.Wear bright colored clothing. Beaware thay you may encounterhunters who may be hunting offtrail. Stay on trail.
