The concept of
Intercultural
Tourism offers the
opportunity to
strengthen the
intercultural
exchange among
visitors and locals
VOLUNTARIADO SOLIDARIO
The participants support the various activities,
that take place in the Pavarotti Center.
As a volunteer you can teach or assist in
workshops like dance, theater, music, circus,
mime, singing, painting, sexual education,
environmental education, popular education,
peace education, youth leadership, human
rights, produce shows for public performances
and street festivals. As well you can help young
people in carpentry, weaving (looms pedal),
cooking, crafts, maintaining the gardens,
garden of medicinal plants, support of physical
therapy, restaurant and in the computer lab.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
•University students
•Minimum know ledge of Spanish
•Knowledge of the socio
political context of Guatemala.
•Ability to adapt to new environments, to
another culture and another way of life
•Willingness to cooperate
•Ability to work in teams
•Ability to work with young people
•Mutual respect
•Professionalism in your work
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
•Responsibility
•Previous experience is not necessary
•Creative, flexible, adaptable and open to a
new intercultural experience
•Ability to understand the situation of
children and teenagers in their
environment and to respect their
customs, culture and lifestyle
•Commitment to stay in the project the
time, you have agreed with us
•Experience in Psychology, Pedagogy,
Teaching, Education, Social work or
kindergarten is not necessary, but good if
you have.
