• This is a non profit charitable trust established in 1997.

• VIDIYEL TRUST is blessed with FCRA, 12AA & 80G certificates from the Govt. of India.

VIDIYEL AND SHG’S

• 348 SHG numbers were trained on accounts maintenance and skill development trainings.

• Periodic visits made to monitor the SHG’s activities.

• Three federations formed in Vilathikulam, Kovilpatti and Sankarankovil region to start income generation programme through cattle rearing.

NATIONAL CHILD LABOUR PROJECT

• Child labour intensity is high in Vilathikulam and Sankarankovil Taluk

• With the support of NCLP VIDIYEL TRUST initiated 3 special schools in Vilathikulam Taluk and 4 special schOols in Sankarankovil Taluk.

• Benefited– 119 children - Vilathikulam– 150 children - Sankarankovil

FREE COACHING CENTRES

• Collabration with aims India 27 FCC started in 20 villages

• 1109 students educated in this centers

• 27 teachers were appointed.

Activities of FCC• Disseminating quality education to rural

people

• Educating students in GK, Hindi and English languages.

• Organizing cultural events between children.

• Organize exposure visit to update their outer world knowledge

NRI SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

• In this trust collaboration with NRI home coming team (USA) initiated “Vilathikulam initiative project" with the purpose of developing a model integral village development programs

ACTIVITIES• In this team installed bore well with

syntax tank and taps and hitherto vidiyel trust maintains its operations then and there.

Training on Siddha Medicine

• Vidiyel trust and FRLHG, Bangalore jointly conducted training on siddha health to SHG members.

• Around 46 diseases prevails in the region are discussed, and curing for 22 diseases was deliberated and documented.

• Around 30 siddha specialists are participated from all over the state.

HIV/AIDS PROGRAMME

• HIV/AIDS a deadly infectious disease the purpose of creating awareness to the people in this trust initiated seminar on ‘PREVENTION OF HIV/AIDS’

• DR.K.JOTHIMANI executive director of Vidiyel trust expressed the need for prevention of HIV for happy living with dignity.

FUTURE PLANS

Future Plans• To impart three-month institutional based

training for the most inclined persons who have participated in the out board engine mechanism.

• To support the SHG members to market their fish products at wider level.

• To establish a self de-addiction centre to treat the alcohol addicts and to rehabilitate their life to lead a moral and respectable life.

• To set up HIV/AIDS community care centre for nurturing the people living with HIV/AIDS

• Water shed development with help of NRI &NABARD

• Technical education to farmers• Establishment of perfume extraction

&bee keeping unit in Sankarankovil.
