May 23, 2009Victoria Highlanders FCcelebrate their inaugural homeopener at Langford’s new CityCentre Field.

Over 2,500 fans stomp on the aluminum clad stands and cheer soloud, they inspire the boys on thepitch who play at feverish pace.

The scoreline does not do justicefor the standard of play demon-strated by the locals, a 2-1 defeat.

With that said, there is a celebration of success. Every patron leaves the park, eachwith a tremendous taste of the beautiful game.
