How to insert an image in the announcements:

Choose an image you wish to add to your announcement. For this example, I will use a picture quote from BrainyQuote.URL: http://www.brainyquote.com/

Under the Motivational topic, I chose this quote:

In MS Word, right mouse click and Save as Picture

In your course, be sure you are in the Author mode

Click on the icon that looks like a mountain and sun.It will be the 13th horizontal icon and is called LinkWizardInsertImage.

Browse to find your image

Add image

Give your image a name

Scroll to the bottom of the Add a Link: Insert an Image page

Choose Insert Image

Add Announcement

Voila! Your image is in!You can do this for any image you wish. This is how you would insert your photo, too, in the announcements.

How to insert an image in the discussion:

Here is an image I want to insert that I found on the Internet

Right click on the image in the Internet and choose View Image Info

Find the image URL

http://israelsmith.com/wp-content/uploads/shop/iq/3-main/ISIQ-0329.jpg

Alternatively, you can use Copy Image Location. Whatever way you can get the URL.

Choose Respond in the class discussion and copy and paste the image directly in the respond box.

The image will not copy but you will have a shadow box of it.

Right mouse click in the shadow box to find Properties

Where you see the image editor wizard icon, paste the URL there.

Choose Okay

The image will now show in your discussion respond box.
