in the Classroom

Starting Your PP Project

There are three ways to start a new Power Point Project

• Starting from scratch• Opening an existing presentation• Using a template

Starting from Scratch

1. Open up PowerPoint. 2. A PowerPoint dialog box will open.  3. Click on the radio button that says blank

presentation. 4. Click OK. 5.  Your new presentation will open. Choose your

slide layout and click OK. 6. You can now start working on your presentation

or start designing the background that you would like to use  for this show.

Opening an Existing Presentation

1. Open PowerPoint

2. Click on File, Open

3. Double Click on your Saved Presentation.

Using a Pre-Made Templates

1. Open PowerPoint

2. Click on File, New

3. Click on From Design Template

4. Look through the pre-made designs.

5. Double Click on the design you like.

Adding a New Slide

1. Click on insert

2. Click on New Slide

How To View a SlideNormal View Viewing notes, outline, and your slide all at one

time.

Slide View The majority of the screen space is for viewing your slide.

Slide Sorter Viewing all of your slides at once. Used for moving slides around.

Outline View Best for working on adding your text for the show. Work in an outline format. 

Outline View Best for working on adding your text for the show. Work in an outline format. 

Notes View View a small image of the slide along with space to write your speaker notes. 

To change the view click on the view button on the bottom left hand side of the PowerPoint screen

Deleting Slides

1. Click on the slide you need to delete.

2. Click Edit

3. Click Delete Slide

Moving Slides

You may find that you are not happy with the arrangement of your slides. No Problem!

1.Click on slide sorter ( Bottom left, middle button)2.Click on the slide you want to move.3.Click and hold the left mouse button.4.Move slide to desired position.

Animation

NOW COMES THE FUN PART!

1. Click on Slide Show on the top bar

2. Click on costume Animation

3. Click on Entrance, scroll through and choose the animation you would like to use.

VEIWING YOUR SHOW

1. Click Slide Show

2. Click View Show

EASY
