When the mexican people talk to and refer to an older person we use the formal form

of “Usted” instead of “Tu” / “You”

What is your name? Your car lights are on

Cual es Su / Tu nombre?

I like your sunglasses

You did a good job!

Las luces de Su / Tu auto estan encendidas

Me gustan Sus / Tus lentes de sol

Hizo un buen trabajo! / Hiciste un buen trabajo!

Out of reverence, in mexican churches

We wear neither shorts, nor caps.

We are not allowed to eat food in the church.

We use neither tattoos, nor piercing.

The men don’t wear earrings.

Doing an effort to learn some kindly phrases in the

language of another person, and showing appreciation for

the food and music of another culture can give truly

positive effects.

My assertion is that people have more in common than what we usually think, due to the necessity of affiliation and

affection, participation and contribution.

When we look beyond the outside and the appearances, after all,

there are not so many differences.
