Us Invasion of Panama Also known as Operation Just Cause. December 1989 - January 1990 10 years after Torrijos–Carter Treaties. Torrijos-Carter Treaty was an

agreement that The US would hand over the Panama Canal by 2000.

Just Cause. Supported Torrijos (not officially President of Panama but known

as Supreme Chief of Government). Known for heavy drug trafficking.

captured by U.S. forces.
