BEFORE THE PROGRAMME STARTSASSESSMENT OF THE STUDENTS:• PAIRED READING COORDINATOR (MR TRZEBIATOWSKI) ARRANGES FOR ASSESSMENT: READING

PROFILE AND QUESTIONS ABOUT READING

• AVAILABLE FOR YOUR PERUSAL AT ANY POINT DURING THE PROGRAMME

COLLABORATION WITH THE PARENTS:• PARENTS CONTACTED AND THEIR SUPPORT SOUGHT

• PLEASE ASK FOR THE SUPPORT OF A PARENT IF YOUR MENTEE IS NOT COOPERATIVE

DURING THE PROGRAMME

BASICS:• 10 WEEKS PER STUDENT

• YOU WORK WITH 2 STUDENTS OVER 20 WEEKS

• 5X20MINS PER WEEK (HAS TO BE 100 MINUTES PER WEEK)

• KEEP A RECORD OF YOUR WORK – FOR UCAS

ABSOLUTE “MUSTS”!

•YOU HAVE TO LET THE COORDINATOR KNOW BY THE END OF FRIDAY OF YOURS AND YOUR STUDENT’S ATTENDANCE THAT WEEK (KAMIL.TRZEBIATOWSKI@TWICKENHAMACADEMY.ORG.UK)

•COMPLETE YOUR COACH DIARY ON A REGULAR BASIS

•USE THE LANGUAGE STRATEGIES IN WORKING WITH YOUR STUDENTS AT ALL TIMES

•NEVER LET YOUR STUDENT OFF BEFORE THE 20 MINUTES IS UP

DURING THE PROGRAMME

READING REVIEW SHEET:• USE READING REVIEW SHEETS WHEN A BOOK OR TEXT HAS BEEN FINISHED

AND GET YOUR STUDENT TO RECORD WHAT THEY HAVE READ AND WHAT THEY HAVE ENJOYED

• GIVE THEM A COPY AND KEEP ONE FOR YOURSELF (THIS IS FOR YOUR RECORDS!)
