What is UGV and UAV? An unmanned ground vehicle (UGV)
is a vehicle that operates while in contact with the ground and without
an onboard human presence. An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) ,
commonly known as drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot on
board.

HistoryThe earliest attempt at a powered aerial
vehicle was A.M.Low’s “Aerial Target” of 1916.
Nikola Tesla described a fleet of unmanned aerial combat vehicles in 1915.

1.Remote Operated It is controlled by a human operator via a
communications link. All actions are determined by the operator
based upon either direct visual observation or remote use of sensors such as digital video cameras.

2.Autonomous It operates without the need of a human
controller . A fully autonomous UAV & UGV should be able to:-
Collect information about environmentDetect object of interestTravel between waypointsRepair itself without outside assistanceWork for extended durations without human intervention.

ConclusionUAV’s most important application is Fighter
Jets where there is no risk of Pilots as these Jets runs without Pilot.
UAV & UGV helps us in discovering places like Antartica.
With the help of this we can know the climate & other thing of another Planet.
