Which causes trypanosomiasies or sleeping sickness

The parasite found in peripheral circulation but then reach the central nervous system

Diagnosis

by finding the parasite in body fluid or tissue by

microscopy

Treatment It depend on the type infection and the disease stage

Pentamidine, is the recommended drug for

first stage

other drugs (suramin, melarsoprol, eflornithine, and nifurtimox)
