in your cashier. To optimise your cashier experience, we
recommend following these guidelines on how to present
Trustly in your cashier and on your website.

Ideal way to display Trustly in your cashier
To help customers feel safe and secure with their choice of payment, we recommend that you follow
the steps below when presenting Trustly in your cashier. Making these changes can optimise your
cashier and directly impact your conversion rate. We’ve prepared different versions of the Trustly
description and you may choose the one that best fits your cashier based on available space.

Minimum space required for the Trustly payment window across all devices
Reassure your end users by always displaying your logo in the Trustly payment flow to reinforce
familiarity. And remember to use the required sizes to keep the payment window working properly.
It’s important to follow the guidelines below in order to present Trustly and your brand in the
best possible way:
Use your logo, in addition to the Trustly logo, throughout the payment flow. This can be
done either by integrating the embedded payment window or using the TemplateURL.
More information about the different ways to integrate Trustly’s payment window can be
found on page 8.
Allow sufficient space in your checkout by keeping the required size of:
320px x 100% (smartphone) and 600 x 600 pixels embedded in an iframe (desktop).

Follow the cashier requirements
There are several ways to display the customer interface (the payment window) for smart devices and
desktops. When Trustly receives a deposit, withdrawal or SelectAccount API call, a URL will be returned.
This is the graphical customer interface, the payment window, that the customer will interact with.
Integration via a hosted solution through a Trustly PartnerWill Trustly be integrated through a platform provider or payment gateway? Using a hosted solution might
affect the customer interface and we recommend that you always talk to your relationship manager
about how the shopping experience will look on your website.
Direct integration to TrustlyDesktop
Branded landing page (TemplateURL)
You have the option to design your own
payment page with the payment window. This
lets you redirect the customer rather than
loading the returned URL in an iframe. To set it
up, please provide us with the URL of a template
page so that we can construct the final page
the customer will interact with. The merchant
can pass the URL to the template page in the
TemplateURL attribute in every API call allowing
for dynamic customisation (example below).
For static customisation, we could input the URL
directly into our system.
Embedded iframe or lightbox
You can either load the returned URL in an
iframe on your page or display it in a lightbox.
The payment window needs a width of 600
pixels and a height of at least 600 pixels to
work properly.

Mobile
Redirect
The customer is redirected to a clean page for
better readability and usability. Always make sure
to send the SuccessURL and FailURL attributes.
This URL redirect must also be supported on
your page. Read more about SuccessURL and
FailURL attributes under section “Unlocking a
better shopping experience” on page 10.
Branded landing page (TemplateURL)
The TemplateURL has the same requirements as
the TemplateURL for desktop.
Mobile & Desktop
If the exact same payment page is used for both mobile and desktop,
then the iframe or TemplateURL option should be used. To prevent
complications with automatically launching app-based authentication
methods, the use of iframes should be avoided on mobile devices.
Native app
Trustly fully supports native iOS and Android apps,
but in order to best assist you with the integration,
we need some additional information. Please reach
out to your integration contact at Trustly for help.

Unlocking a better shopping experience
Success / FailURL
This is the URL that the customer will be
redirected to after a successful or failed deposit.
The merchant should use the notifications sent
from Trustly to build their logic, as there is no
verification that the customer loads the
success/failURL.
More information can be found on our
developer portal.
URL Target
You have the possibility to decide whether the
redirect to the SuccessURL / FailURL will happen
in the iframe or the parent window. You can
control this by using the URLTarget attribute.

Payment traceability
Known as a Dynamic Descriptor or Soft Descriptor
in the card world, Trustly’s Shopper Statement
enables additional text to be included with every
Trustly transaction, along with Trustly’s 10-digit
reference. The Shopper Statement can be the
merchant’s name or text that indicates the nature of
the payment. A good Shopper Statement clarifies
transactions on the customer’s bank statement.
The Shopper Statement can either be sent
by the merchant in each API call within the
ShopperStatement attribute, or a fixed value can be
configured for each merchant that has an account
with Trustly.

Trustly logo placement on homepage
Place the official Trustly logo making sure there’s sufficient space
surrounding it. Different versions of our logotype are available
based on the background of your website. You’ll find all of our
available logotypes on page 14 in this document.
The logo should be resized to a suitable size for your website
by replacing “x” in the URL below with the preferred pixel width.
Sizes available are 10 to 300 pixels.
The logo should be presented in the following locations:
• In the footer (example below) on all pages of your website, by using this link:

as you normally do. Then, choose which account
you wish to pay from and confirm payment with

Trustly cashier logos and company logo
Trustly cashier logos (.png) are currently available in English,
Swedish and German
• Use Trustly’s primary cashier logo (1) whenever possible
(original colour)
• Use Trustly’s secondary cashier logo (2) on dark backgrounds
(white and green colour)
• Use our inverted cashier logo (3) when the background colour
conflicts with the green cart, for example, green or light blue
(white colour)

Clear space
Please observe the clear space around the logo to maximise visual effectiveness. Nothing should
intrude this specified clear space. Minimum space surrounding the logo should be the dimensions
of the first letter of the logotype in each direction.
