Partly global governance for sustainable development, partly EU and domestic

politics

• Rio+20 Future We Want for All – is not enough – forerunners are

needed!

• But, if we are doing well, how to convince people that there is an

urgency. How to make the global dependencies visible?

• The International Architecture for Sustainable Development is

under redesign

• The international scientific community has insisted speedy

interference in the global crisis developments

Society´s Commitment – common understanding on the need for a crucial change

A Long-term visionary framework of goals for the development of the

society

Is based on the common understanding for a crucial change and for

its direction; •Citizens and other societal actors are committed to implement innovations

for sustainable development,

•In exchange surrender established, unsustainable practices.

The guarantor in this virtual commitment is a proactive state;

This is linked to • Ecological responsibility

• Democratic responsibility

• Future responsibility

• One Planet Policy

• Vision

A prosperous Finland within the limits of the carrying capacity of

nature In 2050, every person in Finland will be a valuable member of

society. Finland will be an affluent society that lays the

foundation for sustainability and provides its citizens,

communities and companies with the conditions they need to

operate sustainably. The carrying capacity of nature is not

exceeded and natural resources are used in a sustainable

manner. Finland will promote peace, equality and justice, and

offer practical and sustainable solutions to the world’s problems.
