What to expectYou will be comfortable using SynchronEyes™ classroom management software in your classroom
You will receive a SynchronEyes Classroom Management Software Learner Workbook. It includes
reference material and step-by-step instructions. The workbook is used during the session and is
an excellent future reference.
You will get hands-on practice creating a quiz using SynchronEyes software Quiz Wizard
Sessions are delivered using SynchronEyes classroom management software with the Microsoft®
Windows® operating system, and each session is led by a SMART Certified Master’s Trainer
Who should attend?Primarily aimed at K–12 instructors and higher education instructors
New SynchronEyes software users and other users who want a comprehensive overview from the
basics to more advanced features

Session contentsI. Getting started: Learn how to create a teacher ID and class lists.
II. Monitoring student desktops: Learn how to observe and capture student desktops, and how to
place student desktops into groups.
III. Using SynchronEyes software to instruct students: Learn how to broadcast desktops, share
multimedia files and launch webpages on student desktops. You will also learn how to conduct
a poll or initiate a chat session with students.
IV. Controlling student desktops: Learn how to take control of or restrict student computers, including
launching or blocking specific applications.
V. Using SynchronEyes software to assess students: Learn how to create a quiz using Quiz Wizard or
import existing quizzes. You will also learn how to use SynchronEyes software to distribute, collect
and automatically score your quizzes.
VI. Additional features: Learn how to integrate SynchronEyes software with your SMART Board™
interactive whiteboard or with hand-held mobile devices.
VII. Additional resources: Discover how SMART Technologies supports you with access to software
downloads, educator resources and SMART’s training center.
Customer requirementsAll participants should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Macintosh operating systems
A room that will comfortably hold 14 participants and an instructor
One computer with SynchronEyes teacher-station software and Quiz Wizard
One computer per two participants with SynchronEyes student-station software and the stand-alone
version of Quiz Wizard installed on each computer in order to participate in the hands-on practice
(1:2 ratio). The recommended ratio is 1:1.
Projector
Screen or SMART Board interactive whiteboard – a projection surface is required
Internet access (recommended but not required)
Networked computers
Teacher-station and student-station computers with SynchronEyes software 7.0 installed
Student stations installed to run in visible mode
