An interdisciplinary exhibit that unites the arts and science to forge a more healthy and peaceful world while exploring elements of the nuclear age, science, Hanford history, their thread through our lives and their bearing on the Columbia River and natural world.
In honor of William Witherup, 1935-2009.
Contributing visual and literary artists include Mike Bristow, Janice Camp, Dianne Dickeman, T. Michael Gardiner, William Witherup, Steven Gilbert, Nancy Dickeman, Ruth Yarrow and others.
Sponsored by Institute for Neurotoxicology and Neurological Disorders and Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility. With special thanks to Café Allegro for hosting this exhibit. Founded in 1979, Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility is a statewide organization of healthcare professionals advocating for a healthy, peaceful and sustainable world by positing and working towards solutions to the gravest threats to health and survival (www.wpsr.org). WPSR educates the public on the importance of Hanford cleanup through representation on the Hanford Advisory Board, and the creation and distribution of educational tools such as a Hanford and Health Teacher’s Toolkit and the Washington Nuclear Museum and Education Center.
