It’s just music, right? Then why are you up at 4 a.m. listening to

every YouTube song known to man? Don’t worry – that’s normal!

This is the best day of your life and these five tips will help assure

that your playlist is crazy-good… and that picking it doesn’t drive

you hell-crazy instead.

Be Sentimental…

Choosing music that is important to you as a couple can be the icing on the cake of

your day but don’t just choose your song. Think about other songs that are indicative of

your walk together like the song he danced to when he didn’t know you were looking or

that Frank Sinatra tune that always makes you wish you were lost in a 50’s love story

together.

But Don’t Be Boring

Filling your night with songs that matter are important – but don’t overdo it. Mix it up

and keep things flowing with party songs. What will get people off their feet? Tunes

that everyone knows like “The Twist”, “R.E.S.P.E.C.T’ and other classics are a sure fire

win for all ages.

Be Practical

Popular songs with their own dance moves are always fun to throw in the mix but think about

how they will look in dresses! For instance, the “Stanky Leg” is probably a BAD combo with

cocktail gowns - just horrible.

Be Respectful

It’s always a good idea to play clean versions of every song you choose. Why? Not

everyone will share your humor for curse words especially where kids and

grandparents are involved. Be respectful – it won’t limit the fun, it will only make sure

it’s fun for everyone!

Be Considerate

Get off to a great start with your in-laws and (assuming they are married), play

their song. Honor each parent, even those who are single by playing a song that

reminds you of them – a flattering song of course!
