To Start Digital Blue:

Because the Digital Blue microscope software runs in a low-resolution

graphics mode, a special account has been created to run the program that

has special permissions to temporarily change the display. Starting the

program asks you to enter the username and password of this special user.

1. Log in to the computer as normal.

2. Make sure the USB cable to the microscope is plugged in to the

computer.

3. Double-click on the “Digital Blue QX7 Microscope” desktop icon to start

the program.

4. Since we are using a local account, the user name must include the

computer name:

User name: cflab010w05\digitalblue

Password: microscope

<OK>

5. Press the button on the top of the microscope to change the lighting.

6. Click on arrow to return to the home page.

Click on the Stop sign to exit the program.

7. If there is a connection error to the microscope, click on arrow to

return to the home page, and then click on the Microscope button to

reconnect.
