Technical Configuration
Glossary of Terms Used with SOA Manager
SCN Link: Glossary of Terms Used with SOA Manager
General Prerequisites
For a TM, ERP, and EWM system, make sure that the business function FND_SOA_REUSE _1is activated to enable WS/RM usage in these systems . That’s not needed for a GTS system.
This business functions enables the customizing entry (/nSPRO) Cross-Application ComponentsProcesses and Tools for Enterprise Applications Enterprise Services Point-to-Point
Enablement for Asynchronous Enterprise Services Activate Support for Point2PointCommunication.
Press ‘New Entries’, set the check box ‘Active’, and press Save.
Technical Setup of the Web Services Runtime
You should set up the technical configuration of the Web service runtime environment in allrelevant systems (TM, ERP, EWM, and GTS).
For more information on this see note 1043195 and Technical Setup and Reset of the WebService Runtime
Configure SLD
You should configure the SLD to be able to begin with the configuration for WS/RM.

Connecting AS ABAP Systems to the SLD
Setting Up the SLD Data Supplier for AS ABAP-Based Systems
Using SLD API for AS ABAP-Based Systems
Working with SLD
Configure one system as central system
You should configure one system as central system.
Recommendation: Use system with the highest NetWeaver release.
For more information, see How to configure a system as central system
As of NetWeaver 7.40 basis (relevant for TM / EWM 9.1), SOAMANAGER path haschanged. Instead of
“Management Connections Management Connections Configuration Edit”.
use

Finalize Configuration of Domain System for Central System
You should provide this only if the Central System is also a Managed System and for NetWeaverreleases below 7.40.
Provide User/Password for WSIL Service and WSDL Documents
Be careful not to push the ‘Delete’ button instead of the ‘Edit’ button.
In case Business Application is not filled: Manually retrieve it.
Configure managed system(s)
You should create a management connection between the central system and the system to bemanaged. For more information see How to create a Management Connection to a central system
Create a Domain in Central SOAManager
You should create a Domain in Central SOA Manager. For more information see SCN Link: How
to create a Domain in Central SOAManager
Result of Technical Configuration
The Domain is created and activated and the Domain Systems have been assigned.
The connections defined in Central Business Scenario Configuration can be transferred to themanaged systems and can be configured there.

Helpful Hints
For information about the settings for the technical configuration see:
o SCN Link: Web Services ABAP
Prerequisite for SOAMANAGER based configuration:
o User with role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_CONFIGURATOR
Health Check
Use the health check for the systems and repair the errors, for example missing SICFnodes.
Transaction: /nSOAMANAGER Tools Health Check.
Important transactions analogously to SXI_MONITOR / SXMB_MONI:
As of NetWeaver 7.40, WS/RM messages are only monitored in transaction SRT_MONI.You can analyze errors in transaction SRT_UTIL.
The SOA Runtime tools (transaction SRT_TOOLS) are providing testing tools and supportthe configuration.
Inconsistent configurations:
In case inconsistencies are reported, pls. check the following notes:
2090492 - Inconsistent entries in table VEPCROSSREF
2104648 - Consistency of Service Definition (Preperation)
2104649 - Consistency of Service Definition

Application Configuration
To complete the application-specific configuration, the following steps must be followed:
1. Create one central business scenario configuration per integration scenario.
2. Create and assign logon data (needed only once per managed system).
3. Trigger Change Processor
4. (optional) Create Logical Receiver Determinations (in local SOAMANAGER)
1. Central Business Scenario Configuration
Concept
SCN link: Concept
Prerequisites
SCN link: Prerequisites
Procedure
In SOAMANAGER for your central system, choose tab Service Administration Business
Scenario Configuration .
As of NetWeaver 7.40 basis (relevant for TM / EWM 9.1), SOAMANAGER terminologyhas been partially changed:
Instead of Central Business Scenario Configuration, the term IntegrationScenario Configuration is used.
Instead of Consumer System and Provider Application, the term IdentifiableBusiness Context (IBC) Reference is used for “Actors” (Consumer Sytem orProvider System).
In addition, a new Connection Type “Service Group Based, Request Response”is supported to directly maintain a two-way connection: for both actors/IBCReferences a service group can be specified to define both communicationdirections in one step.
Create a new business scenario configuration/ connection using the appropriate system andservice group from the table below.
Note that all integration scenarios consist of multiple service groups. In order to setup the
integration you need to configure all sevice groups. Example: Invoice Integration consists ofservice groups TM_ERP_INVINT and /SCMTMS/TM_ERP_INVINT.
