This defines BIG CHANGE Number One.

In our modern world accurate local time is available everywhere - on computers, TVs, microwave ovens, cell phones, dashboards of cars -

Local TIME is Clock TIME.

Breakfast time, work time, lunch time, play time, meeting our friends for coffee time, supper time, party time, bed time.

Local TIME allows us to organise our day and synchronise our activities successfully.

Which is, we have only just learnt (by which I mean in the last 500 years), not REALLY like the previous slide at all, but dependent on how we are placed as our planetspins on its axis in our journey around the Sun … flapping its wings and steered by this amazing man!

How clever is that?

Unlike the Sun, the Moon does not merely rise and set, she waxes and wanes as she orbits our world …

… her gravity pulls at the waters causing tides.

Not as influential in our everyday lives as

the Sun she has had an big impact on our calendar as her cycle has influenced

us to divide the year into Moonths - I mean months!

Our months are

not exactly in sync with Moon months but the idea is nevertheless based on

observing the Moon.

So Local Time is determined primarily

by the Sun (day-time and night-time are impossible to ignore) and our longer term calendrical construction is influenced by the

Moon.

? Since the changes effected by the

Sun and Moon have such obvious authority over our lives, the ancients were motivated to consider possible influences carried by other moving lights visible in the night sky.

The stars and planets also travel through our skies with mechanical regularity. Modern man has tables that list these movements with precision.

COSMIC TIME is based on change in the wider

astronomical environment.

So, while Local Time (along with the passing seasons) is determined primarily

by the Sun and our longer term calendrical construction is influenced by

the Moon ….

We have been studying Cosmic Time for millennia, but the vast influence carried by our cosmic environment, an environment sadly unavailable for appreciation to many of us due to light pollution, has been dismissed as mere superstition by the present governing scientific elite - which is perplexing when one considers that famous, so-called, ‘fathers of modern science’, were deeply involved with this subject.

The great Geographer Ptolemy was first and foremost an Astrologer. Johannes Kepler was Imperia Mathematica to Rudolf II. Imperia Mathematica means Court Astrologer. We have astrological charts constructed by Galileo for his daughters.

All of these great men displayed humility in their relationship with their cosmic surroundings.

Local Time tells us

where we are at in our daily lives ….

Cosmic Time is much, much, much, more significant

Cosmic Time illuminates, in quite amazing detail,

where we are at in our lives as a whole.

The face of this Cosmic Clock is not made up of the visible constellations of the Sidereal Zodiac (as displayed by the galaxy) but by a virtual Tropical Zodiac. This virtual Zodiac is symbolised by the familiar galactic constellations but decided by the geometry of Earth’s angle of obliquity relative to her position in her yearly orbit around the Sun.

THE ZODIAC is a Cosmic Clock

- the planets act as hands.

Many scientists who attack astronomy’s use for astrological

purposes are ignorant on this point, so let’s first check out how the background of this

Cosmic Clock called

The Zodiac is constructed.
