NEW DELHI, June 15:

Petrol price was today margin-ally hiked by 5 paise a litre anddiesel by Rs 1.26 a litre, the fourthincrease in rates in six weeks.

Petrol will cost Rs 65.65 alitre in Delhi from midnighttonight as compared to Rs 65.60per litre currently, Indian OilCorp, the nation's largest fuelretailer, announced.

Similarly, diesel will cost Rs55.19 per litre as against Rs53.93 a litre currently.

This is the fourth increase inauto fuel prices since May 1.Petrol price was last hiked by Rs2.58 a litre on June 1 and diesel byRs 2.26 a litre following oil pricescrossing USD 50 per barrel mark.

Petrol prices in the four hikeshave been raised by Rs 4.52 alitre, while diesel rates have goneup by Rs 7.72 per litre.

"The current level of inter-national product prices of petroland diesel and Rupee-US Dollarexchange rate warrant increasein selling price of petrol anddiesel, the impact of which isbeing passed on to the con-sumers with this price revision,"IOC said in a statement.(PTI)
