Ask how much money is in the training budget for you to attend trainings. Research conferences, webinars, and workshops in your area or virtually. If your boss won't pay, go on your own dime and network like crazy.

2) Take them out to coffee or Skype.

3) Ask them how they got where they are today.

4) Ask them what books helped them succeed.

5) Ask them if they would consider being on your personal board of directors.

6) Meet with them once a quarter and check in. Get their advice.
