Director’s Notes: I accidentally found the art of theatre my senior year of college (studying piano performance) and broke my teeth on the role of Corny Collins in a WVSU production of Hairspray. The "theater bug" bit me hard! I'm amazed by the uniquely collaborative qualities found in the art- a little something for everyone. I've yet to find another discipline that brings together such a band of artists to produce something so clever and magical. As a first time director and experienced musical director I am amazed by the power of process. I give a most heartfelt thanks to cast, crew, and everyone involved for their energy and determination. I especially thank Adam and Bethany who were my "eyes" when mine were literally buried in the music score. I was challenged by actors both seasoned and new resulting in artistic and personal growth. This is a memory I'll carry with me throughout my career and I have these wonderful people on stage and behind the scenes to thank. Enjoy this one-way, toe-tapping, bladder busting journey into the mysterious and ominous land of "Urinetown"!
