There are four phases of the water cycle.

1. Evaporation

2. Condensation

3. Precipitation

4. Collection

Evaporation

Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers, lakes, or oceans and turns it into vapor or

steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake, or ocean and goes into the air.

Condensation

Water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds.

Precipitation

Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air can hold it anymore. The

clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet, or snow.

Collection

When water falls back to earth as precipitation, it may fall back in the oceans, lakes, rivers or on land. When it ends up on land, it will either soak in to the Earth and become part of the “Ground Water” that plants and animals use to drink or it may run over the soil and collect in the oceans, lakes, or rivers

where the cycle starts over again.

The cycle begins again.

Evaporación

La evaporación es cuando el sol calienta el agua en los ríos, lagos o mares y lo convierte en vapor o el vapor. El vapor de agua o vapor deja el río,

lago o mar y entra en el aire.

Condensación

El vapor de agua en el aire frío y cambios en líquido, formando nubes.

Precipitación

La precipitación se produce cuando ha condensado tanta agua que el aire puede

aguantar más. Las nubes se ponen pesadas y agua cae de nuevo a la tierra en forma de lluvia,

granizo, aguanieve o nieve.

Recogida

Cuando el agua cae a la tierra como precipitación, podría caerse detrás en los océanos, lagos, ríos o en la tierra. Cuando termina en tierra, que se empape

en la tierra y formar parte de las "Aguas subterráneas" que las plantas y los animales uso

para beber o puede correr sobre el suelo y se acumulan en los océanos, lagos o ríos donde el ciclo

empieza de nuevo otra vez.

El ciclo comienza nuevamente.
