The Sky’s the Limit

Christopher Wallace was a young black male growing up in

Brooklyn, New York. His mother was pretty strict and

had him in a private school.

$ Mo Money, Mo Problems $

When Christopher was about ten years old, he involved with some bad

people. One of his downfalls was his love of

money.

“Lying to My Mother”

Christopher had another problem. He liked to take things that belonged to

other people.

“Considered a fool cause I dropped outta highschool”

Growing up, Christopher got in trouble a lot. When he was

seventeen, he stopped going to school.

“I Got A Story To Tell”

Christopher had to be placed in a special place for some of the mistakes he had made when he was younger. When he got out, he decided to meet up with his

old friends. There was a jam session going on and Christopher got up on

stage and began to RAP!

Christopher and his friend got in trouble. His friend “took the fall” for

it. So, Christopher went to see Puff

Daddy and told him, “I want to stop my old life and start a new life.”

Christopher Wallace now known as “Biggie Smalls” and Puffy came

out with their new record deal called, Bad Boy Entertainment. They later got introduced to the

famous Tupac Shakur.

There was some “bad blood” between Biggie and Tupac. They did

not agree on many things. Tupac thought Biggie was a bully.

Biggie’s life took a turn because his mother was sick. Also, Biggie got

into a car accident. So, he faded out of the rap music world for a little

while. After he came back to rap, he became even more famous. He was given the new name of “Notorious

B. I. G.”

Sadly, these two famous rap singers, Tupac and Biggie, lost their lives within year. Their legacy lives on today. Tupac and

Biggie are still famous to this day. Their never released songs have been on music charts.

Biggie left a legacy, and today The Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation has an annual

dinner called “B.I.G. Night Out” to raise funds for children’s equipment and supplies and to honor his memory. For this

event B.I.G. stands for “Books Instead of Guns”.
