The Safety of Seatbelts
Chantay Kinder
Why is it Important?
• They could very easily save your live.• You’ll feel safer.
• At least almost every person would agree that protecting lives with seatbelts is far more important than a broken tail light or anything else.
The Costs
• The cost to care for an unbelted car crash victim is 50% more than the costs than of a belted victim.
• Almost all of the crashes could have been prevented and plus most have of those people weren’t wearing a seatbelt.
• According to the National Highway Transportation Administration, lap shoulder belt systems reduce the risk of injuries or death.
• Failure to wear safety affects everyone through higher insurance premiums, higher medical costs, and higher taxes.
• The reasons why teens are more at a risk is because they often underestimate the dangers and are less likely to recognize problems of driving.
