The Source• The source of the
river is normally, a puddle of water high up in the mountains in Wales.
• A source is the start of a river.
• When a river starts it has to go through twelve stages to get to the sea
Tributaries• A tributary is a small
stream that leads down to the main river.
• A tributary also normally starts as a puddle caused by rain.
• A tributary caries rocks and stones with it sometimes, they end up as driftwood in the sea.
Meanders• A meander
(pronounced me and er) is the bend of a river.
• Flood plains are the land next to the meander
• They normally get floods about every month.
