How Google+ could improve in the future?

More open API so services such as BufferApp and HootSuite can

improve the engagement and the way users interact with their

community.

BufferApp recently have included GooglePlus Pages in the

supported services and it is expected soon to launch support

for GooglePlus users.

Return to the old height of the profile main image, since most of

the users simply ignore it.

The default images are less annoying, if they are not as large

as they are now.

Communities are one of the best features of Google+, but they need

better integration in the system.

Allowing the user to include the stream from some communities in

the main stream.Now the whole process of checking the communities is not the best UX.

Maybe Google+ didn’t wan’t to be so obvious that it tooked lot of features from Pinterest and that is why it still don’t have scroll to the top button.

It is only matter of time before Google+ integrate such button
