The Love OF God

Matthew 22:37

Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him (Deut. 4:35)

Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else (Deut. 4:39)

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD (Deut. 6:4)

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand (Deut. 32:39)

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might (Deut. 6:5)

And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul(Deut. 10:12)

And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul (Deut. 11:13)

And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live (Deut. 30:6)

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: 

But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations (Deut. 7:6-9)

God’s Love For Mankind

Mankind sometimes referred to as "the world" (Jn. 1:10)God has demonstrated His love in sending Jesus (Jn. 3:16)This is even more remarkable when we consider that we do not deserve this (Rom. 5:6-8)

Christ loves us too and is our sacrifice (Eph. 5:2)Consequently, God's grace is available to all (Titus 2:11)

We love him, because he first loved us (1 Jn. 4:19)

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind This is the first and great commandment (Matt. 22:37-38)

How Does A Person Love God?

Saying "I love you" isn't sufficient (Matt. 7:21)

Love is demonstrated in a willingness to follow in obedience
