The Ke’arah and Simanei Haseder: A Smart Board Lesson

Grade Level: Elementary, Special Education Description: Teach the ke’arah and simanei haseder with this comprehensive Smart Board unit. Included are blank ke’aros where students drag each food to its correct place. They learn the names of each of the foods with exciting matching, memory and learning games. In addition, lessons on each of the Simanei Haseder provide important information for the students. The lessons are followed by fill-in-the-blank review questions and additional fun activities. Goals/Objectives: Students will demonstrate their ability to properly set a ke’arah and follow the simanei haseder in their correct order. Materials Needed:

Laptop

SMART Board Instructions:

1. Open the lesson on the SmartBoard. Use the images to teach of the foods on the ke’arah and how they are arranged.

2. Play the review activities one at a time until students display sufficient knowledge of the material.

3. Teach the names of the Simanei Hasesder. Click over the faded lists to display information on what is done by each step.

4. Fill in the missing information on the fill-in-the-blank pages. 5. Review and reinforce with the activities provided.
