March 2013 Alumni Survey• Over 7000 alumni have taken the survey as part of Strategic Planning

process.• Over 60% of respondents believe that UVa students would benefit from

flexible, technology-driven delivery of class content and means of demonstrating educational attainment.

• Alumni believe that UVa serves the needs of the Commonwealth of Virginia (90%,) Virginians (84%,) the higher education community (81%,) and the general population (71%.)

• 63% expressed some likelihood of enrolling in an online course for UVa alumni only.

• Respondents did express strong interest (70%) in participating in a one-time online lecture by a UVA faculty person.

• Over 50% of respondents expressed a likelihood of partnering with UVa to explore common interests and passions, and supporting cross-disciplinary studies that address national and/or global issues (55%,) collaborative research that addresses national and/or global issues (52%,) and Access UVa and college affordability (50%.)
