WHEREAS, The Borough of Forest City currently has two voting wards, one meeting at the American Legion Build-ing and one at the Forest City Emergency Services Building; and

WHEREAS, the American Legion is currently closed and is on the market to be sold and therefore no longer available for use as a voting place; and

WHEREAS, the number of poll watchers is diminishing and it has become more and more difficult to obtain the ser-vices of poll watchers during elections; and

WHEREAS, the Forest City Regional School District and the Borough of Forest City Council have passed Resolu-tions requesting the Board of Elections of Susquehanna County allow the combining of the place of voting of the two voting districts to be held at the Forest city Emergency Ser-vices Building located at 380 Railroad Street, Forest City, PA 18421; and

WHEREAS, the Republican and Democratic chairpersons for the Forest City Borough have sent letters to the Board of Elections supporting and join-ing in the request of the com-bining of the polling places, and
