Pushcart Press founder and editor of the annual Pushcart Prize series — author of a novel and six memoirs — Bill Henderson is an elder in his local church and a close reader of the Bible. He received the National Book Critics Lifetime Achievement Award, the Poets and Writers/Barnes &Noble Writers For Writers citation and an award for Distinguished Service to American Arts from The American Academy of Arts and Letters.
