Col. Muammar Gaddafi, dictator of Libya for 42 years, is in hiding and on the run as rebels have entered the capitol.

A 1.7 million dollar bounty has been offered!

Millions have taken to the streets to celebrate.

MORE BREAKING NEWS! The US and the UN are trying to get

money back to the new government in Libya so they can help the country rebuild after months of fighting.

There is still violence as the rebels route out Gaddafi and his remaining supporters.

Background – The Arab Spring The Arab Spring is a series of revolutions in

Arabic countries, (like in Tunisia, and then Egypt) to overthrow dictators and install democracy

Without these other rebellions, I don’t think Libyans would have got up and rebelled against the dictator Gaddafi.

peaceful protesting and then went to a full on rebellion.

Libya is a country rich in oil, but Gaddafi has been taking advantage of it and making the people poor and hungry.
