Dear friends and colleagues,
Our Combined International Symposium on Sports Medicine will be held on the 17th
of July, 2013. This year, the symposium will be in conjunction with the 19th MACCABI Games, a celebration of Jewish Sports and Sports Medicine. According to our tradition, the scientific program will include multi-disciplinary sessions on different aspects of Sports Medicine, including Physical Activity and Health Promotion, Prevention and Rehabilitation of Sports Injuries, Military Sports Medicine, Physiological and Nutritional Aspects of Endurance Training, and more.
Many thanks to our distinguished guests, and to our friends and partners in the organizing and scientific committees, the Ministry of Health, the IDF Medical Corps, the different Medical and Physiotherapy Societies, Hadassah Medical Center, and all the companies who will be part of our symposium and exhibition. Your contribution is essential to the success of the symposium, and to other activities of the Israel Society of Sports Medicine throughout the year.

הסימפוזיון הבינלאומי השנתי המשותף של החברה הישראלית לרפואת ספורט וכנס ירושלים לרפואת ספורט יתקיים ביום ד', ה-17.7.13, במלון דן פנורמה, תל-אביב.
הסימפוזיון יערך השנה בצמוד למשחקי המכבייה ה-19, בחגיגה משותפת של עולם הספורט היהודי ורפואת הספורט בישראל. הסימפוזיון יעסוק בהיבטים שונים של פעילות גופנית לקידום בריאות במדינת ישראל, ובאספקטים שונים של רפואת הספורט לעוסקים במקצועות הדורשים סבולת גבוהה. במסגרת סימפוזיון זה נארח מרצים מכובדים מהארץ ומחו"ל בתחומי

Pre-conference physicians' course: Exercise as a Critical Medicine By Ann B. Gates, Exercise-Works!
A 2-day course on exercise as a critical medicine for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and for acute interventions, such as in pre- and post-surgery. The course will be conducted as interactive master classes of disease specific training programs, combined with practical exercise sessions ("Learn, practice, implement and apply").
