q Gundih field is a gas field, has been in production since the end of 2013. CO2 content which is generated directly from this field is 21% of the produced gas. After the CPP (Cental Processing Plant), about 15% of the total product is separated as almost pure CO2, which equivalent with 800 tonnes per day of CO2.
q The gas is produced from the 3 main structures, which are situated inside the Gundih field, namely Kedung Tuban, Randu Blatung and Kedung Lusi stuctures, which can produce around 60 MMSCFD within 12 years.

q Tectonically, Gundih area is part of the back arc basin of Java: many hydrocarbon reservoirs are located.
q Two of the most famous reservoirs are Oligo-Miocene clastic and carbonate of Kujung Formation (deeper reservoirs) and Miocene sandstone of Ngrayong Formation (shallower reservoirs).
q The shallow reservoirs of Ngrayong Formation were determined: ü to improve new techniques for
CO2 injection monitoring technologies in shallow reservoirs.
ü the total cost of the pilot would be lower in a shallow reservoir.
(Ditjen Migas, 2004) 10
Ardhana, 1993
q The selected area is located in Cepu Sub-district, centered at around Jepon-1 well (Jepon Structure).
q The planned CCS Pilot project will inject around 30 tonnes of CO2 per day or totally 20,000 tonnes of CO2 within 2 years.

This program is granted since Sep. 2012 and will end on Aug. 2017 (5 years program). ADB provided a grant to conduct feasibility study of surface facility, legal-regulatory framework and financial analysis. The study was conducted from Nov 2013 until March 2015. Now ADB will provide a grant for implementation of surface facility for Gundih CCS Pilot Project.
