We are Going to a Braves Game!
The Atlanta Braves play baseball at SunTrust Park in Atlanta, GA.
You will park in a parking deck or parking lot.
You will then either walk or take a shuttle to the ballpark. There will be a lot of sights, smells and
sounds as you go towards the ballpark.
When you get to the ballpark, you will go to the gate and wait in line to get your tickets
scanned and go through security.
The metal detectors are to keep you safe.
You will get to your seats using
the escalator, elevator, stairs or a
ramp.
This is what your seat will look like.
The ballpark will be full of lots of people cheering. It may get loud.
Your usher will help you find your seat. They are there to
answer any questions you may have.
Someone will sing the national anthem on the field. You will stand up and remove your hat,
just like the players.
The Braves will start to
play baseball!
There will be music and a
lot of cheering!
If you get hungry, you can get food from a concession stand.
You may have to wait in line.
Someone may stand up in
front of you to cheer. We do
the "Tomahawk
Chop" with our arms at
Braves games.
You can stand up and
cheer too!
If one of the players hits a ball into the stands, everyone will try to
catch it!
Whoever catches the ball gets to
keep it!
If the Braves hit a home run, there might be loud
fireworks!
You will see the Heavy Hitters
drumline walking around the ballpark.
It's okay to cover your ears or wear headphones.
There will be fun activities during the game, like the Home Depot tool
race and singing during the 7th inning stretch.
You can go to the Hope and Will's Sandlot where there are carnival games, a zip line, a climbing wall
and more.
Whenever it is time to go home, you will exit through the gate you entered
in and go back to your car.
