An Anonymous Benefactor

42A man came from Baal Shalishah, bringing the man of God twenty loaves of barley bread baked from the first ripe grain, along with some heads of new grain. “Give it to the people to eat,” Elisha said.

43“How can I set this before a hundred men?” his servant asked.

But Elisha answered, “Give it to the people to eat. For this is what the LORD says: ‘They will eat and have some left over.’ ” 44Then he set it before them, and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the LORD.

1. The Gift was Scriptural: Obedience to the Word.

2. The Gift was given Sacrificially.

1. “He who has received much, shares much”

2. “Faith is an open hand, believing the God shall pour more into our hands than what spills over.”

3. “Faith believes in sufficiency and expects surplus”

This farmer came to feed a prophet and fed 100 others!

We too may begin with feeding ONE – God can use that to feed 100 – never underestimate what God can do with our offering of obedience and faith to Him.
