In addition to specific assignments by the District Commander, Vice Commanders are responsible to assist and advise Officers and members of assigned Posts.
They are the present and future leaders within the District and are expected to act
as a direct liaison between the Posts and the District organization. Through their leadership and support of the District Chairmen, the effectiveness of Post programs and the Membership Program are enhanced.
Each attends at least two regular membership meetings of assigned Posts in the
role of advisor. In addition, each Vice Commander visits other Posts either during regular membership meetings or other Legion or social functions as practical.
Vice Commanders submit a written report of their activities prior to each regularly scheduled meeting of the District Executive Committee.
