It will be awarded to Dr. Igor Belyaev, Depart-ment of Genetics, Microbiology and Toxicology,Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden; Dr.Catrin Baureus Koch, Department of RadiationPhysics and Department of Neurosurgery, Lund Uni-versity Hospital, Lund, Sweden; Dr. Olle Tereniusand Dr. Katarina Roxstrom-Lindquist, Department ofGenetics, Microbiology and Toxicology, StockholmUniversity, Stockholm, Sweden; Dr. Lars Malmgrenand Dr. Bertil Persson, Department of RadiationPhysics, Lund University Hospital, Lund, Sweden;Dr. Wolfgang Sommer, Department of Neurotec,Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden; and Dr.Leif Salford, Department of Neurosurgery, Lund Uni-versity Hospital, Lund, Sweden, for their paper enti-tled, Exposure of rat brain to 915 MHz GSMmicrowaves induces changes in gene expression but

not double stranded DNA breaks or effects on chro-matin conformation, published in Bioelectromag-netics, vol 27(4): 295–306. May 2006.

In addition to a certificate, the Award includinga monetary prize will be presented in June 2011to Dr. Belyaev, Dr. Baureus Koch, Dr. Terenius,Dr. Roxstrom-Lindquist, Dr. Malmgren, Dr. Sommer,Dr. Salford, and Dr. Persson during the AnnualScientific Meeting of the BioelectromagneticsSociety in Halifax, Canada.

The Most Influential Bioelectromagnetics Jour-nal Paper by Citation Award was established by theBioelectromagnetics Society in 2007 to recognizescholarly contributions to the scientific communityand to acknowledge and foster ongoing excellence inscientific discovery and achievement.
