Singular: base form + s/es Plural: base formExamples:1. The planet Earth revolves around

Am/is/are + -ing formExamples:1. Ms. AJ is studying while Mr. R is

watching a movie.2. They are just trying to help you.3. I am writing a poem.

Has/have + Past participle (PP)

Examples:1. I have finished cleaning the dishes.2. Myko has broken the vase.3. Her classmates have just gone out.

Has/have + been + -ing form

Examples:1. Roanne has been waiting there for

three hours.2. Catherine and Rila have been eating

for almost an hour.3. I have been studying since 3 am.

Had + Past Participle (PP)Examples: 1. Obana had already chosen the best

years.2. The police had been looking for that

criminal since 1980’s.3. I had been suffering from a very

painful heartache since she left me.

Will/Shall + base form of the verbExamples:1. I will study hard for my coming

examination tomorrow.2. The Philippine economy will recover

soon.3. Shall we dance?

Will/Shall + be + -ing formExamples:1. I will be transferring the furniture to

another corner before someone comes.

2. Lei Ann will be studying her lessons by the time I get back.

3. The teams will be having a break when the captain arrives.

Will/Shall + have + Past Participle (PP)

Examples:1. Therese will have studied chapter

three by time I come home.2. When the president arrives, We

shall have prepared everything.3. I will have finished the dishes before

my mom sees me.
