Technology to Improve Instruction

• Partnerships to Fulfill a Vision for Technology in North Carolina’s Schools

Why Invest and Use Technology?

• Teachers can have better information to tailor instruction.

• Classrooms will be richer and more engaging environments.

• Students can connect to the world.

• Digital learning offers new opportunities for individualization.

READY Meeting Technology Discussions• At the Regional READY meetings in March,

participants heard a vision for how partnerships and working together could achieve technology-enabled learning in NC schools.

– Percentages in slides were meant to start a conversation about partnerships and responsibility to get to technology-enabled classrooms for all students in 2014-15.

• We are beginning these conversations today.
