There are some fantastic things to update you on from our last newsletter. We have had the official
opening of our new playground equipment and the kids are absolutely loving it!! Pat Conroy MP, Federal
Member for Shortland was very happy to present us with the $20 000 grant which helped to fund part of
the replacement of our old worn out equipment. We thank Pat for his ongoing support of our school.
We are celebrating Education Week this week at Windale PS which is very different to the way we have in
previous years due to the ongoing restrictions with COVID-19. To acknowledge the outstanding
achievements of a student, staff member and community member, our students came together for a brief
gathering yesterday afternoon where we presented awards to the following recipients:
• Isabella Lane – Education Week 2020 student of the year
• Angela Smith – Education Week 2020 staff member of the year
• Ricky Lewis – Education Week 2020 community volunteer of the year
Congratulations to all three of our worthy award winners for their ongoing contributions to Windale PS.
You make our school a better place to be every day.
