All Year Round • The Rex Theatre Screens movies on Saturday and Tuesday nights and Sunday afternoons. • River Heights River heights of Charlton's worst floods are located by the viewing platform at Travelers Rest. • Avoca River Walking Track Starting from the Traveller’s Rest, this sealed track is 500 metres long with interpretive signage of local birdlife. Also see the ’big fish’, a memento of the 2006 Commonwealth Games & the swagman by chainsaw carver, Kevin Guilders.

• General Harold ‘Pompey’ Elliott Memorial Located in the Elliott Gardens (south of the bridge), the statue and plaques tell the story of his life. • Historical plaques and panels Information plaques have been attached to Charlton's historic shops and public buildings. • Mt. Dooboobetic Lookout 1km from the town centre, turn left onto the Back Teddywaddy Road (opposite Charlton Park). Dry weather road only. • Historic Bills’ Trough Constructed in 1931 by local builder Sam O’Brien with funds from the Bills’ Trust. Turn into Kaye St next to the Tyre Service. Travel to the end of Kaye St and turn left into Wright St. Located several metres from the corner.
