Alumni Talk
Academic excellence and superb faculty is
expected from a reputed programme such as the
PIMR-MBA. I would like to mention the more
intangible and, in my opinion, the more enduring
lifelong benefit /advantage that the PIMR-MBA
has given me. The practical skills backed by
academic knowledge has given me the
confidence to pursue a career in any industry and
any country. This, for me, is the biggest strength
of the foundation laid by PIMR MBA program.
I wish this institute and it's students all the best

Careers are carved on the basis of what a course
offers over and above a degree. Opening up of
thought process beyond curriculum and
development of capabilities other than just
professional, are few but most crucial things that
can push a good career to a great one. Prestige
Institute of Management & Research, Indore is
one of the rare places where a person just don’t
graduate from but graduate for life. I am one of
those. It helped me not only acquiring and
identifying my natural intrinsic capabilities but
also honed my skills. During the MBA program
itself, I identified advertising as my true calling
and the way program is designed, over a period of
two years I sharpened my capabilities in the
desired direction. Literary committees, writing-
directing plays, and impromptu performances
are few things that I learnt.
Pranav Harihar Sharma - (PIMR MBA Batch
2004) Group Creative Director & Delhi Creative
Head, Linen Lintas, Gurgaon
Being an MBA from PIMR has actually helped
me expand my professional abilities. This has
given me a fast growth in my career. Prestige’s
specialty is designing pathways for its students
particularly in the area of key business area such
as people management, communication skills
and developing personal and professional
networks. As soon as I completed my course
from Prestige, I could easily tune myself to the
best industry practices. In a nutshell I can say
that prestige is all about moving up in life.
Tanmai Saxena- (PIMR MBA Batch 2005)
Commercial Head- Mahindra & Mahindra Auto
Ltd., Mumbai
90% of success goes to what I had learnt in PIMR
and its not only about the curriculum but the
things we did in our day to day activities in PIMR.
Every MBA institute teaches you one thing or the
other but whatever I am today I owe it to the
Prestige. I learnt campaigning, collaboration,
coordination, internal marketing any many such
things at PIMR which I practically do today.
Saurabh Shukla (PIMR MBA Batch 2005)
Cluster Business Leader (VP Sales)- Yes Bank
Ltd., Mumbai
PIMR believes that the education should not be
restricted to the classrooms only. The institute
ensured our exposure to the complex business
problems with the help of On the Job Training,
summer internships and seminars by industry
experts. The two years I had spent in the institute
had given me many opportunities to hone my
interpersonal and managerial skills. The
institute continues to nurture young and
dynamic professionals who are eager to make
their mark in the corporate world.
Deepesh Shah- (PIMR MBA 2002 Batch)
Branch Manager, ITC Ltd., Bhopal
I have been a student of earlier batches of PIMR
while we were still building up the infrastructure
of this center of excellence. This was the time
when India was going through a tough economy
and situations were all adverse, was part of a fleet
of young managers just waiting for their turn to
take the corporate world by storm. During this
time, a strong leadership from the director ,
complimented by a committed set of faculty lead
this institute to become one of the most coveted
one. The curriculum was a right mix of
theoretical principle and practical knowledge,
which is a must for business studies. The strong
foundation created by the institute, has helped
me achieve operational and managerial
excellence throughout my career. The baton is
now passed to the more restless generation but
the core values and knowledge imparted will
definitely nurture the right managers for future. I
wish the best to entire PIMR family.
Rajeev Khera (PIMR MBA Batch 1996)
Director- Channels & Alliances, Huawei
Telecommunications (India) Co., Pvt. Ltd.,
New Delhi
2 years at PIMR have equipped me with
dimensional skills and provided me with a
platform to interact with like minded peers,
intellectuals and eminent persons of the
industry. Learning during MBA was fascinating
as most of the course was based on case studies
ans business simulation games with practical
aspects as per current business scenario.
Knowledge sharing with peers and other
activities at PIMR has imbibed me a different
way of thinking to be successful in my chosen
profession.
Rajesh Kumar Singh (PIMR MBA Batch 2005)
Branch Channel Manager
Samsung India Elec.Pvt.Ltd. Kolkata
Prestige Institute of Management and Research.
My Alma Mater. I won’t just call it an institute of
management but rather it’s an INSTITUTION OF
LIFE. The students who join in here come straight
out of a protective shell like schools/colleges get
groomed both on their individual as well as
professional skills on at this very ‘institution’
before they take a leap into the professional
world. It’s a place where one joins as a boy or girl
and step out as Gentlemen/ladies raring to join
the industry.
Students get an open field to explore their
dreams, academic nurturing to hone their skill-
set and a professional guidance on building their
capability to meet the industry benchmarks. No
wonder, it can boast of alumni who are on
company management boards and at leadership
roles are various organizations.
Mohit Mishra (PIMR MBA Batch 1998)
Vice President - Integrated Services
Cheil India, New Delhi
The best thing to admire about PIMR is the blend
of practical and theoretical approaches it
provides for nurturing candidates for the future.
This makes the environment of the institute more
empirical. It is more than a business school and I
have spent the best time of my life here.
Piyush Kant Pyasi (PIMR MBA (FT) 2005)
Sales Manager-M.P.& C.G.
Educational Loans and LAS
HDFC Bank Ltd.
During our two year’s program at PIMR we were
exposed to many business simulation exercises
and business games along with the practical
exposure through on the job trainings and
various events. This gave us an understanding of
the challenges faced by the business world
which in turn helped us prepare ourselves for the
corporate world. The networking skills learnt in
the institute is still helping me develop my
professional network.
Rahul Jain (PIMR MBA 2004)
VP-Retail Banking, Yes Bank Ltd., Indore
During my MBA program, I got the best of the
learning and grooming from the institute. There
were lots of activities which we had done and
which have helped me in my professional life.
Here we learn to organize events with
synchronization with other teams, to make
presentations which are an integral part of the
corporate life. The institute provides many
forums which give you opportunities to hone
your skills like public speaking, team building
and leadership.
Gagan Sharma (PIMR MBA 2006)
Zonal Head, Vodafone Mobile Services
Ltd.,Ujjain Zone
Throughout my two years of MBA at PIMR, I had
countless opportunities to develop analytical
skills, leadership skills and proactive thinking
though various programs and events. These
attributes were the key reasons because of which
I was successfully placed in a reputed company.
A big thanks to my faculties and friends for the
amazing journey at PIMR.
